How does Smart Charging work and how do I set it up?
Smart Charging allows you to automatically charge during off-peak hours or solar surplus. You easily set it up through the app by selecting preferences for charging periods
What is Boost Charging and how often can I use it?
- Boost Charging temporarily increases charging power for faster charging times. You can turn this on at any time through the app, with no restrictions on how often you use it.
Kan ik mijn energieverbruik en kosten volledig monitoren via de app?
Yes oure app provides detailed reports on energy consumption, costs and charging times, giving you complete control over your charging process.
What is Peak Shaving and how does it save me energy costs?
- Peak Shaving lowers peak consumption by adjusting charge capacity during energy peaks. This helps to minimize your energy costs.
Can I always troubleshoot problems with my charging station through the app?
In many cases, it does. With the reset function you can easily restart your charging station via the app, which often fixes minor problems without technical assistance. If you still need help, do not hesitate to contact our support service at support@blulinc.com.
Does Boost Charging work at other charging stations or only at home?
Boost Charging is exclusive to home chargers managed through the Blulinc app. At public charging stations, this feature is not available.
How secure is the locking feature for my charging cable?
The lock feature in the app allows you to securely lock your charging cable so it cannot be disconnected or stolen without your permission.
Are there activation fees when I become a client of Blulinc?
- For our "Blu Basic" formula, there is a one-time activation cost of 99 euros excl. VAT, with a minimum duration of 12 months.
- For our "Blu Premium", "Split billing" and "Blu Public" formula, the activation cost is a 199 euros excluding VAT per charge point with a minimum term of 24 months.
- For the configuration and activation of your DC charge point, there is a cost of 349 euros excluding VAT, with a duration of 24 months.
Why do I have to pay an activation fee?
For these costs, we at Blulinc completely unburden you. We make sure that your charge point(s) are configured correctly, the correct rates are set and become active on all platform and external apps.
Are there any fees when I leave Blulinc?
Of course, we never like to see you leave but if that were to happen you would have to consider charges for disconnecting your charging stations;

How much mark-up does Blulinc charge?
For AC charging, we charge a maximum mark-up of 10% excluding roaming charges.
For DC charging, we charge a maximum mark-up of 15% excluding roaming charges.
What are "roaming charges"
Roaming charges are the charges Blulinc is charged through a Roaming hub that provides the connection to a specific e-MSP. These charges vary between 5% and 10%.
When are roaming charges applied?
When a visitor with an external charge card comes to charge at your charge point, there are roaming charges involved. These roaming charges allow different charge card providers to charge at your site. These costs can vary per provider.
How is the price on a charge point determined
The final price per kWh is determined by the charge card provider the visitor uses. This includes :
- The cost for delivered energy set by the charging station owner.
- The cost of enabling "roaming" to be paid between charge station operator (CPO) and charge card provider (e-MSP), in many cases a percentage of the total price.
- The margin your charge card provider takes on top of the energy price + roaming charges.
