Project Description:
Introduction:
The merged municipality of Lievegem, consisting of the former municipalities of Zomergem and Lovendegem, recognized the need to accelerate the transition to electric driving for their service vehicles. With a strategic vision of sustainability and improved mobility, the goal was set to develop a reliable and efficient charging infrastructure.
Purpose:
Create a robust and accessible charging infrastructure for the municipality's service vehicles, enabling them to transition to a more sustainable mode of transportation and contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint.
Challenges:
● Coordinate and implement charging infrastructure across two locations.
● Guarantee optimal functionality and accessibility for municipal officials.
● Navigate the technical and logistical challenges involved in
installing charging stations in public areas.
Solution:
The project successfully implemented 12 charging stations across the two sites, which not only increase operational efficiency but also send a clear signal of the municipality's commitment to sustainable practices.
